MOODLE
Parents,
Please check out our schoolwork site called Moodle. HMS teachers are using Moodle to post the assignments and activities they are doing in their classrooms each day/week. If you check the site regularly, this should keep you informed of your child's work. (This is in addition to the planners that your child is writing in every day.) The link is located on our website under SCHOOL TOOLS, schoolwork. This takes you to the Hayesville Middle School Moodle site. Once there, there are two ways to login to the site.
1. Login as a guest. OR
2. Your child may use his/her own HMS login and password.
There is an enrollment key that is required to login to specific classes. Please ask your child for the enrollment key. If they have forgotten, please have them ask their teacher.

Moodle is quickly becoming a vital tool for the students of Hayesville Middle School and parents in the Community. Moodle has become a large part of our school improvement plan to increase communication with parents and to improve test scores in the subgroups.

The purpose of Moodle is to communicate with parents. This is a one-way communication that allows parents to know if their child has work and how the work is related to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.

Moodle criteria:

  • Updates weekly: Moodle will be posted one week ahead.
  • Moodle will only show 3 weeks at a time, last week, this week and next week.
  • There will be a course description for each teacher and a link to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study located on the course description.
  • All classes will have full descriptions

  • Students need to be enrolled in Moodle classes.
